Lifelong Learning

 Sydney, Australia

We are living in an increasingly information intense and services oriented world - a constantly changing environment where we often test new bounds. At every step we wonder whether we have the skills to get into the workforce, to move globally for study or work, to hold onto our job, to change careers, and so on and so forth. We hear we may need to change careers a number of times in our life and possibly hope we will not be the one having to do so.

There are milestones in our lives where we need to make adjustments and there are many questions to be answered at these times. Should we register for a MOOC course? Join an Open Learning institution? Or maybe an Online one? Engage in technology enabled self-paced learning?Where is all this heading towards? Has learning now become a lifelong continuum where we now dip in and out as needed?

Should I go for Accredited Training? To Unaccredited Training? How am I tested and so I really need that piece of paper they call degree or diploma or ...?

And what about the transitions? Transitions as I move between work, learning, career changes, global mobility?

On 25 March 2014, Global Mindset presented 20+ leaders from US, India and Australia at its 9th thought leading conference on Lifelong Learning
